Zatanna

Zatanna

Justice League of America

Status: Active

Since it was my first time back to New York Comic Con, and since the con has gotten bigger and better since it started, I really wanted to do a true comic book costume, something I hadn't done since wearing Death to the Big Apple Comic Con in 2004. And you know how much I love to cosplay without having to wear a wig, but what you might not have known is that I LOVE wearing fishnets. Love. Them. So really, there was only one logical choice.

In retrospect, I wish I had prepared a little better for this costume--at least gone down to a magic shop and bought a bouquet of collapsible flowers, or memorized a few of Zatanna's spells. But I reiterate; I really just wanted to run around in fishnet and high heels. There are worse motivators in the world.

In 2015 I updated the costume with parade gloves and fishnets with bigger holes--too big, in fact. If I wear Zee again, I'll try a third pair.
