Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m quite partial to a cocktail or two whether it’s out in a bar or at home experimenting so imagine my delight when High Roller Cocktails created a cocktail and named it after me!
Introducing the ‘Miss Dani Teeze’ featuring some of my favourite flavours and of course completely vegan.
Of course I had to go out and get ingredients to make it straight away, and as I couldn’t get the Malibu with passion fruit, I added Passoa in to the mix (which actually probably made it a little bit more alcoholic, but that’s not a bad thing right?).
It’s Veganuary, and Alexandra Palace was the venue for this years Vegan Life Live show.
I went along with my friend, mainly because I wanted to try one of Pomodoro E Basilico’s unicorn burger’s that they were debuting at the show – yes you heard correct, unicorn burger’s but don’t worry, everything at the show was fully vegan so no unicorns were harmed in the making!
The unicorn burger was a beetroot bun filled with a secret recipe, vegan unicorn Pattie, peach sauce, vegan chocolate sauce, peanut butter, avocado and banana chips, I have to say, it was pretty strange but nowhere near as horrendous as it could have been, it basically tasted more like a dessert than a burger, I was actually pleasantly surprised!
The show was great for ideas for anyone thinking about going vegan with lots of cookery demonstrations, and film screenings sponsored by retro corn and lots of different foods and products on sale.
A great day out and being vegan really isn’t as hard as some people may think.
I stocked up on tofu, chilli sauce, egg free mayo, some new Swiss designed peelers that spiralize and julienne as well as peel, I can’t wait to try them out and some organic vegan strawberry and rhubarb dog treats for my fur bitches!
