Louis and I have been playing the various Mario group/party games as Luigi and Daisy for longer than we've been dating.  Louis has identified with Luigi all his life because "Luigi" is the Italian form of "Louis", and as soon as Daisy became available I always picked to play as her because I always gravitate towards female brunettes.  We've been planning on cosplaying them "someday", but what finally got our butts in gear was wanting to do something nice for and with our friend Rob, who is one of the best Mario cosplayers on the scene right now.

I chose Patti and Steph to make this costume for me because they had previously done a Princess Peach costume for our friend Fitz that came out wonderfully, and sure enough they delivered.  The dress, the crown, the earrings, the broach, and even the gloves were all made by them.  All I did was buy a pair of blue contacts and wad up my Lydia tulle veil to give myself a bit of padding in the hips, and I was ready to go!

For NDK, Steph was kind enough to bring me a petticoat, so I had more volume than ever! I also treated myself to a new wig off of eBay.
