Eternal Sailor Mars (or Sailor Star Mars, as it’s sometimes translated) is my favorite form of Sailor Mars. Here she is her most evolved; here she is her most powerful. Here is where you see most of her legs. Ha. (The Eternal skirts are notoriously short.) I don’t remember when I bought it, but I know I wore it first for Halloween 1999, and then to my first con in 2001.

This costume fits me like a glove, both when I was thinner, but somehow still even now. I love the shiny lamé fabric, and how all of the senshi have the same uniform in this form. The only thing I would like to upgrade someday are the boots--I’d like them with more of a heel, because I’m so short, and I’d like them to hug my calves a little more. Other then that, there is nothing I would change about this costume, with the exception of the little repair work I have to do from time to time due to normal wear-and-tear.

Update! As Avian Firefly has since made me a new fuku to match the rest of Outer Power, Inner Beauty, this first version of Eternal Sailor Mars has been retired.
