I originally bought this costume for my cousin Vanessa when she was 14, as she was just getting into Sailor Moon, liked my Mars costume, and decided she wanted a Jupiter costume of her own. After getting it, she tried it on once for me (and let me photograph her and put her on Sailor Moon Avatars), but by then she was in high school and had outgrown Sailor Moon, so she never wore it out. When BAAF 2002 rolled around and I had no costumes ready, I called her and begged her to borrow it, due to my personal policy of never wearing a costume to the same con twice.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the authentic rose earrings or the hair bauble, and the weather that weekend wreaked havoc with my hair, so I don’t really like any of the photos of me in this costume. (That, and I don’t think I make a very good Jupiter.) Nevertheless, it was an interesting experience to try to be a senshi other then Mars for a day. However, I’d never wear it again. :)
