Heeey, another justificationexcuse to wear my Snow White wig! Baltimore Lauren started this; she's done a ton of pinup shoots (and been featured in Perfectly Pinup magazine), and is also a die-hard Disney fan, and was looking for a way to combine her two interests. It didn't take much to get the rest of the girls interested; while some of us are a little too modest to do the more daring boudouir type photography, we were all okay with doing a sort of Disneybound Dapper Day retro look. Lauren's utterly in love with Maleficent, so the rest of us decided to reprise our previous Disney roles, which meant I'd get to be Snow White again.

Lauren really put most of this outfit together for me. Lady Damfino's outfit gave me the idea to wear a notched white collar (because of which, by the way, I spent several hours learning the different labels for the different types of collars that exist, which I'm sure will never again be necessary), which I found on eBay, underneath a blue sleeveless blouse, which I found on Amazon. I had bought a wide red belt from Hot Topic *years* ago which would have been perfect, but the paint was sadly starting to flake off, so I bought another off of eBay.

On Lauren's advice I bought a yellow circle skirt from Ananya on Etsy, and a red petticoat from a square dancing supply site (thus making it the *second* square dancing garment I've bought for cosplay purposes) called ReSashay. I had also gotten an adorable cable knit red cardigan to mimic her cape from a website called Country Store, but ended up forgetting it on the bed of my hotel room on Friday. To my endless amusement, apple sunglasses actually exist, so I bought those off of Amazon as well. At the last minute, I decided what the heck, I wanted more pinup-appropriate shoes as well, and managed to find camel colored peeptoe heels complete with Snow White's little bows on them. To be honest, I had WAAAY too much fun shopping for all the pieces of this costume; generally speaking my contribution to my cosplay is throwing money at my extremely talented friends until costumes come out. Oh, I do the best I can with makeup, but still. This time I got to make all of the decisions (albeit with a lot of help and input!) and really got to see the finished costume come together.

(Oh, and for the record, Belle's collar is called a shawl lapel. You're welcome.)
