A few years back, my friend MadMisterSmiley photographed my friend Alison, at my urging and request, with my outfits and makeup techniques. Being the procrastinator that he is, how notoriously bad at keeping in touch I am, I only got to see these pictures a few months ago, and I was amazed. Allie looked like a magazine model--not that she's not naturally pretty, she is, she's stunning, but it was the quality of the pictures that really surprised me. Naturally, I begged MMSmiley to see if he could produce similar results for me.

So this shoot came about because I really wanted to "test out" a "new" photographer, and also because I wanted a new Odd Photo of the Month for my fanart site, Crimson Sky Creations. Normally, I only post photos that don't end up anywhere else on there, but when MMSmiley gave me the CD with all of the shots he took, I knew they deserved a showcase all their own. There are actually a ton more--over 150 total--but in the interest of sparing my bandwidth and your eyes, I'm presenting some of our favorites here.

Lastly, my makeup and outfit was inspired by a makeup tutorial Kevyn Aucion did, which he called "The Biba". In tribute to him, I will use that name myself.
