As soon as I saw Avi in her Kozue costume at Otakon 2005, I wanted one just like it. If Utena had never worn this in the series, I might've cosplayed someone else just to use it. I liked it that much--the sleeves are so accurate! (So is the tie, but you can't tell in the pictures I have so far, the photoshoot we did was VERY windy, and the tie ended up folding over a bit without my realizing it.)

Luckily for me, Utena DID wear this in the series, so I had a good excuse to wear it. I'm growing more and more fond of Utena, so I'm probably going to be doing a few more of her outfits, but I'm glad that this one was the first of her lesser-known costumes.
