As you might imagine, I was SUPER EXCITED for the Sailor Moon reboot like you would not believe. As soon as the opening animation was released, I started looking into getting the pieces to Rei's new outfit. White button down shirts I own in abundance, so that was no problem. I searched eBay for a skirt with suspender-like straps, and found a great "skater skirt" for a good price. I asked my friends on Facebook what kind of tie was worn by the Girl Scouts, because I remembered having a tie like that that fastened with a snap when I was a Junior, and learned that they were called "crossover ties" and you could buy one at any band related supply website (mine came from SolidColorNeckties.com). Since you couldn't see her legs in the opening, I agonized over whether she was wearing white thigh highs or black thigh highs with her skirt,and ended up buying both...only to find out in Episode 10 that she's just wearing normal pantyhose. Heh.

I'm still waiting on pictures from AnimeNEXT--I was surprised so few people recognized who I was dressed as, even though I had the red umbrella and everything! Surely the reboot is more popular than that?
